Chad Gaudin and that stuff under his lower lip go for us today. Is anybody else weirded out by that beard? It would look accidental if it didn't look so intentional. I seen the photos of Gaudin where the beard is ridiculous and long not unlike a wig on his chin. Still, I personally like it better than the landing strip.
The Padres and 1090 got together and had their campaign to get Adrian into the All Star Game. I think Adrian's still in like 37th place. Every other starting first baseman, several backups and some outfielders written into 1B are currently getting more votes. Give up, people! It's over!
I'm feeling pretty good about tonight's game. No good reason to believe it, but I sense a comfortable Padre lead going into the late innings.
