Sandy Alderson finishes up on Ducksnorts

I think I like this last part the best. Sandy gets a little bit defensive speaks about the Padres draft and development strategy. I like this:

There’s no question that we put an emphasis with position players on the ability to hit; you can’t hit, you can’t play in the major leagues. You can run like the wind, you can have a great arm, you can do this, you can do that — with very few exceptions, if you can’t hit, you can’t play.

Learn to hit, kids. It's the only way you're gonna make it onto the Padres in the coming years. You'll have to be able to hit, or you have to be at least 30 years of age and have been born within the county limits.
