Back in high school, I was at a buddy's house and we were playing Street Fighter II: Turbo Hyper Fighting. I was dominating one particular fight sending insane combos while the screen flashed in spectacular fashion. Just as I was throwing in a particularly intense combo, my hands cramped badly and I cried out like "GRAAAH!!!" while throwing the controller up into the air. Amazingly, the last set of moves I had put in were enough to still finish and win the fight even though the controller was no longer in my hands.
Another time, in college, I was playing International Superstar Soccer 64. I was in the World Cup as Argentina and I dozed off. When I woke up, I was somehow in the finals and I realized that I had continued playing and had beaten both Brazil and Germany in my sleep.
Off day yesterday means the Padres jump from fourth in the NL West to second. Sitting around in their underwears playing with their Wiis and they still demonstrate their dominance.
The moral of the story is that you don't necessarily have to experience it to actually experience it. You can quote me on that one if you want.
