  • Giles is going on the Disabled List and Paul McAnulty is joining the team tonight.  I hope McAnulty can make his mark while he's up with the club.  It seems that we've been hearing about what a great hitter he is for so long, but he hasn't been able to prove it yet at the major league level.  Let's hope for the best.
McAnulty was held out of last night's Triple-A game between Portland and Las Vegas so he could join the Padres for tonight's game against the Brewers. In 32 games with Portland, McAnulty batted .277 with two home runs, 15 RBI and an on-base percentage of .360.
  • Hensley had a rough outing in his rehab start last night:
In his second injury rehab outing with Portland, Clay Hensley labored last night against Las Vegas, allowing eight hits, four walks and four earned runs in four innings. Hensley threw 86 pitches.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens when Clay comes off the disabled list.  Do you send down Hampson even though he's our only left hander in the bullpen?  Or do you send down Kevin Cameron since he hasn't been used since May 11th even though he hasn't allowed a run yet this season.
