I think my favorite part of a Jake Peavy start is the knowledge that he could potentially do something ridiculous. This is the season. I feel it in my gut. Tonight, we get to watch Jake take his 5-1 record and his 1.64 ERA and his boyishly rugged good looks against a lineup that he could seriously dominate.
I am giddy with anticipation.
In other news, Padres beat reporter, Corey Brock is now off the market, ladies. Any hope you girls had two days ago has gone the way of the dodo. And the percentages have shifted once more slightly in the favor of single male Gaslamp Ballers everywhere.
