Do you want to work in sports?

Two years ago, I made a career decision. Rather than continue on the career path that I was on, I would follow another. I wanted to work in sports. I knew a career in sports would be challenging and that many attempt to break into the industry and struggle to find success, but that didn't matter. Better to live for a passion and try my hand at something than not try and wonder what might have been. To paraphrase Chuck Klosterman, I didn't want to be like so many of the people that we all meet who are perfectly content to go through the motions.

I wanted to do something cool.

Now, we all may have our passions in different things and I've met enough of you Gaslamp Ballers to know that a lot of you are following your dreams and are doing cool things, but for those of you that are passionate about sports and are considering a career change, then I encourage you to attend the SDSU Sports MBA Info Session at Petco Park. You can find out all about the program and how it can jump start your career in sports.

If you go, then stick around afterwards for graduation at 10. I'll be walking with the rest of my classmates and I'd love to meet you. I'll be the one that's pulling a Giles under my robe.
