He attracts curiosity partly because he is different. He is the only major leaguer who answers to Khalil. He is one of the few ballplayers who doesn't golf, hunt, fish, use tobacco or chew sunflower seeds. He might chew gum, but doesn't feel great about it.
I wonder if he feels guilty after he has a fist full of Purple Flavored Big League Chew or if a stick of Dentyne does it for him. I like Khalil and I think his weirdness is charming, but I wonder if he's too uptight and he's gonna flip out and hurt somebody someday. I'm going to keep my distance, just in case.
