Geoff from Ducksnorts writes of San Diego's laid back attitude about sports. I've got to tip my hat to Geoff, I completely agree with him.
On the one hand, I'd like to see more of a killer instinct from my teams. On the other, I'm not sure it's worth the tradeoff of having to exist in an environment where winning is all that matters.I want my team to be fanatical about winning because that's their job and they should care. I want the fans to cheer and root for their team but why make yourself miserable. I don't think I could be a sports fan if it depended on the team always winning or the fans being so die hard that they live bitter depressed lives. It's unhealthy the way some of these other cities beat themselves up over every detail.
