Estes agrees to deal with Padres
The Padres may have found a No. 5 starting pitcher - provided they can wait until roughly the All-Star break.
Left-hander Shawn Estes, who suffered a season-ending elbow injury in his first start April 5, has accepted a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Take that Giants and D-Backs. Estes is in the house! Zito? Ha! Big Unit? Please!
If we have to wait until the All-Star break for him to be able to pitch then why was he invited to Spring Training? To run laps and shag balls?
At least Peavy and Hensley will have somebody to party with out in PB.
