The Padres are a solid 2 games in front of second place with Clay (5-6, 4.16) going up against John Patterson (1-2, 4.31). A win today would set the tone nicely to start the second half of the season. The rest of the NL West has been very compliant in beating each other up and allowing us to pad a lead here. Let's hope it keeps up today.
