- Peavy is hurt or not pitching well. Either way we got problems. 10 K's in five innings would seem like a good outing, but maybe he should let the hitters do some of the work. Save some pitches let them hit the ground out or fly out. We don't need to strike out everybody. Also don't give up 6 runs.
- Miguel Olivo had the last laugh going 4-4 with 2 RBI's after getting run over by Cameron on a play at the plate.
- The Padres had plenty of opportunities and left 10 runners on base. Not much clutch hitting by the Friars with 6 players left in scoring position with 2 outs.
- Vinny Castilla not helping with an error and going 0-4.
- The Dodgers are in sole possession 1st place in the NL West.
