Is anybody else seriously relieved that the Olympics are over? Whenever they're on, I feel like I have an obligation as an American sports fan to try to appreciate what my fellow countrymen are doing to further the American cause and what not. So I turn the Olympics on and then I don't really watch what's going on. Or I try to stay interested in men's curling. Or I try to generate an opinion on whether I side with Hedrick or Shani Davis. I try to do my part.
In any case, I'm sure that's glad done with. No more feeling guilty about not caring about those crazy sports that make no sense to somebody with an island heritage and has lived in San Diego all his life.
