- There's been a lot of chatter around the Gaslamp Ball recently about Lil' Clay Hensley. We've heard of rumors of him dating a Pad Squadder. As you know players are off limits to the Pad Squad, the official rule does not allow fraternizing with players. You know what they say about forbidden fruit, it's always the sweetest. Other rumors state that there is/was some sorta love triangle between Lil' Hensley, Pad Squadder and Grounds Crew guy. Other sources have seen Clay hanging out in Pacific Beach quite often and dating some SDSU girl. He just won his game yesterday in Japan, so he's probably got Harajuku Girls hanging all over him right now. Developing...

Marcus Giles may be coming to SD:
The Padres, one of several clubs talking with the Braves about Marcus, would move him from second to third base, FOXSports.com has learned.
Marcus, 28, would gladly make the switch to become teammates with Brian, 35, for the first time, a source close to the brothers said.

Mulder drawing interest:
According to the New York Daily News, the Mets were one of eight MLB organizations who recently called Mulder's agent, Gregg Clifton. The other clubs, Clifton said, were the Cardinals (who have exclusive negotiating rights through Nov. 11), Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres, Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Baltimore Orioles.

David Wells to return to San Diego:
Padres: Clifton, the agent who represents left-hander David Wells, told the New York Daily News that he thought there was only a 25-percent chance the 43-year-old would pitch next season. And if Wells decides to return, it's probable that he will only pitch for his hometown Padres.
