Sporting News has a good article about the value of throw-ins while doing deals. Funny to me how much money these insane GMs are willing to toss around on "proven" talent when guys like Francisco Liriano and Dontrelle Willis were basically throw-ins as part of larger trades.
A must read for anybody who's freaking out about the Padres off-season right now.
