Drama sends the news from the UT:
First-base coach Tye Waller, who spent 19 years with the Padres, said he is seeking a job with another franchise after being told by manager Buddy Black he is being replaced.
"I am grateful to (Padres owner) John Moores for giving me the opportunity to be here this long," Waller said yesterday.
It's been so long since the Padres have switched managers that I kinda forget... But is this what normally happens? I guess it makes sense. New manager brings in his new guys. Still, I wonder how many other teams have seen as many wholesale changes after winning their divisions two years in a row.
