Padres.com says that the Game 1 starter hasn't been set yet. However, I was just told a rumor that Chris Young is going to be used in Game 3 because he's so good on the road. A bird told me that rumor and frankly, it's nuts.
I'm not gonna try to talk anybody out of trying to use Jake Peavy twice in a short series, but let's not kid ourselves... Chris Young has been our best pitcher this season. At this point, he has a 30% chance of pitching a no-hitter on days when he's actually resting. And he's so tall.
I'm thinking the Padres are ready to do some damage to some opposing team skulls this week. It gives me chills.
