If you haven't seen them yet, Here's ESPN's Power Rankings for the week. The Padres come in eighth behind the White Sox, Cardinals, Angels, Red Sox, Nationals, Braves and Indians. To be perfectly hoenst, I'd be little bit flattered if I were the Padres, though it does seem about right.
Everybody on the bandwagon may be upset about the way they've played recently, but let's face it. They're still better than a lot of other teams out there. Look at the NL Central. One team over .500. And people call the NL West bad.
Here's my midseason prediction. When it's all said and done, I'm thinking the Braves move past the Nats. The Padres and Cardinals maintain their leads. And the Marlins step up to claim the wild card.
