The team recalled second baseman Mark Loretta and first baseman Phil Nevin from rehabilitation assignment at Triple-A Portland, placed right-handed pitcher Rudy Seanez on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to July 8), optioned outfielder Ben Johnson to Portland, purchased the contract of right-handed pitcher Clay Hensley from Portland and requested release waivers on left-handed pitcher Dennys Reyes and minor league right-hander Miguel Asencio.

hensley's supposed to have good control, I'm curious to see how they use him. i wouldn't be shocked if he fills in for eaton especially if astacio struggles for another start.
