Since fewer people show up on the weekends, here's a quick recap:
- Trevor Hoffman got his 400th save on Friday. Everybody jumped back on the Trevor bandwagon Saturday morning.
- Padres took three of four in St. Louis, ending their winning streak at six. Record since Kournikova Kiss: 8-2
- The Curse of the Fifth Starter reared it's ugly head yesterday. Before yesterday, the Curse was satisfied with not allowing our fifth starter to get a win. Yesterday, it decided to eat Tim Redding's shoulder. A quote from the article reads, "Tim Redding fought to get the third out of the game, but his shoulder wouldn't let him." That's what you call a fight? Somebody should've told that guy to fake his injury after giving up the first four runs. Note to future fifth starters: If the Curse has decided to take you down in the first inning, don't fight it because it will only go on to eat your shoulder. Free the four man rotation!
Update [2005-5-9 14:19:9 by jbox]:
I added a poll: Did Redding fake like his arm was hurt?
