Stuff not quite about Padres baseball

Now that we're a member of the SportsBlogs Inc family of blogs, I have to tell you, it's a little different. There's a slight sense of confusion, like "am I doing this right?" For example, during yesterday's game thread, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to monitor the activity or what. My wife glanced at the comments this morning and said, "Hey you got 15 comments! That's great!" I had to let her know that all but two of them were me... And those other two were Kev. She kinda gave me a look like, "You rushed away from the dinner table to do that?"

Anyways, I think things will be better, now that we're no longer the rookies on the block. I got notice via e-mail from the other somewhat mysterious members of my brotherhood (and one sister, I'm told) that we have two new members in the SportsBlogs family. Halos Heaven and Brew Crew Ball. A SoCal team and a member of the expansion class of '69. And having them arrive literally hours after us makes me feel a little bit of a kinship with them, even if they don't know who we are yet.

In more familiar news, Ducksnorts has moved! This was the big news he was hinting at the last couple weeks. His new site looks so fancy pants now.

And finally, my brother-in-law, Brooks Conrad, Padres fan since 1980, is currently in the Astros minor league organization and he made the Austin local news! He shows up a little ways through the clip and says a few words. I never realized he was so eloquent. Hoorah, Brooksy!
