- We've been talking about the Padres possibly signing the Japanese star catcher for sometime. Seattle was able to sign him for three years at $16.5 million. Padres could have matched that right? Are we so poor that we can't at least make an offer?
- The Blue Jays now join every other MLB team. They want Brian Giles as well. I like Giles, but all the guy does is walk! Remember when he walked in his final at bat vs. STL? I think he was the tying run and he walked to bring up Klesko. Klesko of course struck out and ended the season. At some point you have to hit!
- The Mets offered a deal to two catchers. One to Ramon Hernandez and one to Bengie Molina. They are still thinking about going after Manny as well. Must be nice to acquire good players.
