Well we campaigned for it in a really lethargic way. Now Xavier is Free.
The UT is reporting that the Padres may try and sign Eric Young who they released only moments ago. The Padres once again prove that they love ex-Padres. Maybe the Padres will crush on Xavier once he becomes an ex-Padre.
There is also news about Trevor. The news is that Towers hasn't spoken to Trevor or his agent since the last offer. You know this is a real good way to lose a popular and proven player. He just wants you to want him. That's all. He'll take less money, I know he will, but you gotta play the game. Towers should be calling him every night and telling him how great he is and making him mix tapes to prove the Padres love for him.
Update [2005-11-17 12:24:10 by jbox]: Oh by the way I like the trade. Mike Cameron will be awesome as long as he doesn't get nightmares from playing in Petco. It'd be nice if we could have had Nady and Cameron and given up Aki. I like Aki and all, but the rest of the league figured him out this year and hit pretty hard when it mattered.
