Twenty-something, lover of baseball, travel, and traveling for baseball. I probably see the game in a different light than you do. Or maybe not. Everything changes, from day-to-day. Let's just all say we all like sports, and agree on that.

A firm believer that when things get complicated, take a few steps back, take a deep breath, and look forth at the simplicity and beauty that is the Great American Game. Love it for what it is, and prepare to take all that it gives us, good or bad.

I hope this isn't a TC'er

Almost as melodramatic, but equally as woe-is-us-the-worlds-gonna-end as some folks.

"I have yet to tap my potential."

Mark Teixeira introduced to New York. Amazingly, the robot appears to have curled his mouth to emulate a slight smile.

Yankees on the verge of Teixeira

Sure, they didn't seem like they were in it, but they always were in it. Without Giambi, they had a massive hole at 1B - who better to fill it than with Teix?

8yr / $180mil, no-trade clause. Maybe Mrs. Teix can limo-pool with Mrs. Burnett from Maryland to New York for lascivious trips of shopping and debauchery?

The Atlanta Braves Best of 2008

Pujols almighty, there's a lot of animosity around here sometimes.  Name calling, personal attacks, endless arguments, and bigjoe, whatever that means.

I'd laugh if I were to be considered a peace-maker of any sort, but getting into the holiday spirit, I would like to merely suggest a putting down of the e-dukes, and letting all of your asshole fingers to take a break for a moment.  The main Americaland holidays are upon us, and the year is coming to an end, so relax for a second, and click something instead.

Rafael Furcal to sign with Braves (Escobar's available)

Furcal decides that he doesn't want to play in Oakland, and would prefer Atlanta. If this goes through, Escobar is essentially available, and don't be surprised if the Peavy talks fire up again, if they already aren't.

AUDIO - Smoltz on Dan Patrick Radio

Pujols, you can practically hear DP rubbing himself at the thought of Smoltz playing for the Red Socks. Listen at your own discretion, because it's really lame attempts to try and talk Smoltz into saying he wants to pitch for the Red Sox.

Smoltz? He sounds drunk or something, because it's the most incoherent, incomprehensible speaking I've ever heard him do. When he wants to be clever, he can be, but this time, I um... don't know.

The Greg Maddux Farewell Press Conference

Unyielding class all the way to very end. I don't think anyone will ever "get" the game of baseball more than Greg Maddux ever did. 'Twas truly a privilege to see eleven years of Maddux pitching for the Braves.

How to properly utilize FanSHOTS

What we have here, is a failure to communicate.

Throughout the news-and-rumor filled offseasons and Winter Meetings time, there are words of baseball transactions and ideas flung around much like an Animal House food fight.  And with there being about eleventy-billion websites out there that report upon these things, regardless of if they're factual/credible or not (your discretion), we as Atlanta Braves fans want to know about the news that pertains to our team, the Atlanta Braves.

The Blind Numbers Game

This post has nothing to do with the Atlanta Braves.

I'm kind of bored, and I figured this might be a little good at helping myself as well as anyone reading this to kill some time.

The Braves' deal for Jake Peavy is not dead.

Peter Gammons' blog (ESPN)

It's almost like beating on a big, fat, dead unicorn at this point, or so it feels like.
