Gaslamp Ball Bounty: Kyle Blanks' Afro
Walkoff Walk has laid down the challenge. Padres prospect Kyle Blanks apparently has a huge afro:
Update [2008-3-5 12:29:35 by Dex]: DONE. Elan gets like 10 GLBXP for this, but unfortunately, we've docked him half a point for every reference he's made to his penis and he's currently sitting somewhere around -173 GLBXP.

News from Peoria
I'm a former hoops ref turned all-sports guy
as I've put up a sports website and will be dealing with pro athletes and stem cell storage.
very soon.
I've been to about 5 practices and went to yesterday's game vs Giants.
Yes, the big 1st baseman has an afro and it seems to fit him well.
Notes: Maddux pitched well and seemed to be on an emotional high (big grin as he left the field). McAnulty flied out hard to right in 1st at bat, then slammed one over the fence in right in his second at bat (Bud smiled and gave him an 'attaboy). Tony Clark was fooled in his first at bat by nothing but curveballs. He fought hard in second at bat and smashed one just inside first base to drive in a run. Overall, seems as if they have some good speed on the basepaths.
I'll post more as time goes by.

Stem cells, eh?
I imagine that the umbilical cord from Chris Young's kid could supply an entire farm system.

your very own stem cells
By the way, stem cells can be taken from umbilical cord, blood, or bone marrow as well.
But an adult has already missed the opp for umbilical and ............bone marrow is invasive and painful, adipose is obvious.
Fat stem cells taken from athletes in their prime
will be more potent than if taken later in life.
Race horses have been brought back to the track quickly after an operation when injected with their own stem cells, so why not human athletes!
It should be a no-brainer .............. and
there's news from Korea that a doc can send the stem cells directly to the problem area.
If this is true, it will be a lifesaver and bigger news than the discovery of the cure for polio. They say he can cure diabetes and some cancers right now.
Yes, I'm sure that CYoungs kid has lots of potent cells and if someone were to clone
they could field a tall team.
