Spring Training: Part 3, "Brooks Conrad Love Fest"

As you may know Dex's brother-in-law is Brooks Conrad who is playing with the Oakland Athletics during Spring Training. So with that in mind and the fact that the Padres were playing Oakland let's have a look.

That video shows Brooks' second at bat where he hit a three run homer off the Pads.

Sports Network:

Brooks Conrad hit a three-run home run and drove in five runs as the Oakland Athletics pounded the San Diego Padres, 9-3, in Cactus League play.

BTW

Brad has an ERA of 0.90 this spring. Pretty obvious that makes him the best pitcher in the NL. He's soooo awesome.

because that was a jerky thing to say. Sorry about that. Just my opinion, I don't like it, so it really irritates when people quote, but that's a personal problem.

No reason to apologize

I feel the same way about Adam Sandler/Chris Farley/ David Spade movies. Either way, opinions are what the internets are for. The only reason I asked is that a friend and I recently got into an argument about FG, why it's funny, who the intended audience is, etc.

I was there, too!

I took my family to Spring Training this past weekend. My boys (ages 3 and 8 months) couldn't get started too soon, I figured! Even my wife (Dodger fan) had a great time.

We went to the games Friday night and Saturday. Although the Pads looked sloppy in both games, we still loved the experience. My 3 year old got two autographs (he's still trying to figure out the process) over at the duggout: from Chase Headley and Callix Crabbe. Both were really nice.

From the looks of your pictures, you were in the same section as we were on Saturday. We were in the 4th row.

On Friday night, I'd been shooting still pictures all night when I remembered I had my video camera. I got the videocam out and started shooting...look what happened on the very first pitch I recorded!

P.S. We drove...7 hours from LA with two little kids in the car. So don't feel too sorry for yourself, since at least you flew! :o)

Trying to post in HD, but no luck yet...

I actually did shoot in HD. So I tried to upload to Vimeo last night per your recommendation.

However, Vimeo won't take the native AVCHD files at all, and when I upload the exported MPG2 file, the site accepts it, but then says there was an error.
