Kevin Towers answers questions from MLB.com

MLB.com interviewed Kevin Towers:

Not a lot of new information but still an interesting read.  He's still looking for a corner outfielder via trade, which is nice.

Kevin touches on a lot of different topics but answers them briefly.  Maybe the most titillating topic is Chris Young.  Apparently Young is tightening up his curvy body this off season which will benefit Channel 4 viewers.  He's doing mostly core work though so expect to see the ba-donka-donk in 2008.

there's always Reggie Sanders. Let's hope all else doesn't fail.

YES.

Pretty good News
Briles expects to start the opener. So at least we've got two outfield positions set from the first game. Out of Headly/Shrek/Davanon/Upcoming KT trade we are sure to have a decent LFer come opening day.

least favorite padre: davanon
Already I don't like the guy, and I don't like how he's mentioned as a possible starter or role player.  C'mon.  His stats with Arizona were horrible.  I think he's hired for eating innings in spring training, depth at Portland; his shot at making the team depends on Hairston not being able to handle cf backup duties and a tremendous spring.

But why hate the guy?  Admittedly says more about me than him.
