Comeback kid Rick Ankiel and former World Series MVP Troy Glaus received performance-enhancing drugs from a Florida pharmacy under investigation for illegally distributing prescription medications, according to a pair of reports.

Remember when that whole Rick Ankiel comeback was a great story? That seems like it was just yesterday.

Suspensions?

Anyone see any suspensions coming from the Comish office if this is true?

No suspesion

Because he didn't break any laws, and it was not banned by MLB until 2005. My uncle's brother who is a cardiologist(like my uncle) swears by HGH and believes that anybody over 50 with heart risks should be on a regiment. He is trying to get my dad on a regiment of HGH, but the old Airborne Ranger in him aint havin non of that.

In reality this would be like if MLB banned Creatine this year, then decided to suspend Brian Giles because he used creatine between 1995-2006 (like everyone else).

In reality its a non-story. Unless the can prove that he got the drugs illegally (not hard to get persciption and Aetna covers it under there preffered drug list), or he took it after 2005.

HGH and Steroids

I don't think HGH is necessarily a bad thing, but Glaus received steroids shipments.

I'm thinking that if you're a baseball player you should be doing both Steroids and HGH. One shrinks the fellas and the other enlarges them. With my scientific mind a mixture of the two should keep 'em about the same size. Keeping them the same size will make it easier to put them on the wall.
