Around SBN: The Definitive Case For Will Muschamp, Part 1 Bar-right-arrows

Oh ESPN. How much do you suck? Let me count the ways.

I know that ESPN sucks. The main channel is mostly used to pimp terrible docu-drama and try to get people to vote in online polls that don't mean anything. However, I for one don't really care that much. Sports is sports and you shouldn't take it too seriously. Besides, when something big happens, ESPN usually comes through with proper reporting and gravitas.

If you have a minute or two (or possibly a couple hours), I encourage you to check out or at least skim this Dawg Sports post about why ESPN sucks. When the revolution starts, I'll be at your back, but for now I'm just gonna sip on this here mojito.

This "Who's Now" thing...
has GOT to stop. They should seriously just quit it now to salvage at least some respect.

I'm so glad to know
that I'm not the only one who thinks "Who's Now?" sucks.  I know ESPN feels like they need to do a special campaign of some sort every summer but this one is about as ridiculous as it gets.

Even the premise
makes no sense. I go get some food or smoke or something when that comes on. I'd change the channel but the only reason I ever watch SC is because there's nothing else on.

Re: "Who's now"
If you haven't already, check out Fire Joe Morgan.  If you scroll down, there are a number of threads that describe just how much this segment sucks.  They're hilarious.

That's an excellent post
...and T Kyle King is a fantastic blogger, good enough to get me to check out his site regularly even though I don't have much interest in Georgia sports.

But in terms of scope and longevity, the post (and continuing responses) to this post at Every Day Should Be Saturday, take the cake, I think.  The complaints are a little dated, and a little college-football centric (understandable, given the source):

ESPN drives our cable bills throught the roof
for that WE SHOULD HATE ESPN.

That whole thing was a fascinating read on the culture and "etiquette" of sports blogging.

"The Bronx is Burning"
is great for comedic value.  Platt as Steinbrenner is a friggin' riot.  The actor who plays Reggie doesn't look like a ballplayer.  Then again, Reggie didn't always look like a ballplayer, either.

Tuturro is fantastic as Billy Martin, though.
