I was really down with getting The Ho back. I guess there's no denying that he wouldn't really have a spot, but still... That guy was shaw scope dirty for us. Plus there's also no denying that he was a superstar in the Gaslamp Ball offices.

Park is a Type B free agent, meaning the Padres will receive an extra draft pick before the second round as compensation for losing him, once he signs with another team. Park, 33, was 7-7 with a 4.81 ERA last year, a season curtailed by a blood disorder.

You know what's weird about that blood disorder thing is that's exactly what happens in the Dirty Ho movie. That's why Dirty Ho's wearing the patch on his head. It's because of some poisoned blood or something.

Life imitates kung-fu movies? Eerie.

injury plagued 2006

...might not have that many suitors for the Ho. Good teams will ask, is he a starter or reliever, or can he still pitch, or can he stay healthy. And then, from the Ho's perspective, I mean, would you rather be a 3rd starter in KC or Denver or a reliever/sixth starter in San Diego? Seems like an easy enough decision.

Bring back the Ho

Relax, all right? Don't try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.

Sadly....

Sadly, I think the Ho is looking long-term here. After seeing the kind of money being shelled out to garbage pitchers this past off-season...he's probably figuring that if he can get a starters job and make about 30 starts with a decent ERA, he can probably score himself a pretty damn good contract. He's only 33...

I really hate to see him leave...he'd be nice insurance this coming season.
