KOGO radio is reporting he was arrested due to a scuffle with a police officer.

Peavy arrested after run-in with police at airport

Padres general manager Kevin Towers told The Associated Press he was told that Peavy was headed for a goodwill tour of the Dominican Republic with other major league players when he double-parked to drop off his bags and was told by airport police to move his car.

"The airport police told him he couldn't park his car there and he said, 'Write me up a ticket and I'll pay for it,'" Towers said. "He was arrested."

but
I will say that "peavy arrested" was one of the last things I expected to see in the news... ever.

I think of the list of "padres most likely to be arrested" Peavy would be at the bottom of that list... right above khalil.

The radio quoted him this morning as saying
"just go ahead and write me a ticket and get a real cop to do it"

I guess the person was parking enforcement so they did get a real cop and he was arrested.
