Tony the Gwynn through the years on SI.com

Via Fark a link to a nice Tony Gwynn photo gallery. The Fark comments are somewhat remarkable in that there's no mention of Tony the Gwynn gaining weight over the years.

Except, oh wait... That's all they really talk about.

This does remind me of a fantastic idea that jbox had for Petco park wherein the Padres would honor Gwynn's 8 batting titles with 8 separate statues of him. Each statue would be of Gwynn in the year and uniform of the particular batting title and would be a different phase of his swing.

Not only would you be able to see his perfect swing, but you could also see how he kinda let himself go over the years... All in tribute to The Gwynn.
