Matt: [interrupting] Red Baron, you were... Hey, by the way, you were...
Sut: [cross-talk] Matty!
Matt: ...the answer to a trivia question earlier.
Sut: No-no-no, Matty.
Matt: We were... We were at Dodgers Stadium...
Sut: Everybody on Earth has been trying to steal you.
Matt: We were at Dodgers Stadium...
Sut: The Dodgers, the Cubs. ESPN.
Matt: Two weeks ago?
Sut: What're you still doing here?

when I heard that last night during the broadcast I thought "Mud" was imitating "Sut". Has anyone confirmed that Sut was indeed in the booth with Matt and Mark (I don't recall Channel 4 cutting to a picture, but only going with audio)?

Plus from Today's U-T

Brian Giles, in comments regarding MLB trying to get players to use pink bats on Sunday, tries to see if the crazy meter goes to 11.

"It seems a little weird to me," said Giles. "But if the white ball falls in love with the pink bat, I'm for it."

What happens if the bat "falls in love" and Gilly goes 3-4 with two home runs and a double (and a walk, of course)? Will he keep using the pink bat? Will he start wearing a pink glove?

Yeah, That Was Weird

Why wasn't the V easing the conversation to an end? As soon as Sut mumbles 'George Clooney', he should said "1984 Cy Young Award winner Rick Stucliff, everyone! Thanks for coming by, Red. Stop by again, when your in town." Cue booth to cut the mic. At least 'Red' didn't make a pass at Grant and say he wanted to kiss him.
