Gaslamp Balls: The comic strip

I was thinking about Steve Garvey the other day and whether or not his number should really be retired. I mean, let's face it, he considers himself a Dodger more than a Padre. But also, could Garvey actually be the sexiest Padre of all time? And if he is the sexiest Padre of all time, shouldn't his number thus be retired?

I'm on the fence when it comes to this.

So, I meditated. I looked within myself. And somehow, this is what I came up with...

I have no idea what it means. Seriously.

I'm speechless.

Is it just me
or does that last pic of Garvey look just like jbox?

For those that don't know, jbox is a tall drink of water - very thin, but very sexy.

Kinda
I can see it...if Jbox gained about 80lbs.  Then he'd be a dead ringer.

But only I....
was his BOSS for a short, but STRANGE time!

Whose?
Garvey's? The lamosil toenail fungus creature?

Michael J. Fox's!?

no offense
but isn't this a rip of ANtics from Athletics Nation? Although I think louismg would be flattered.

No offense taken
I could see how you might think that, but there are very subtle differences.

It's an artistic thing.

It's sort of like the way an untrained ear might confuse baroque with a classical style. It's very easy to do. So, I could like, tell blez and louismg what we're doing, but honestly, they'd just be like, "Dude. What do we care? What you're doing is so totally [style of internet comic art] and not even related to our [other style of internet comic art]. It's not even the same thing." So I just spare us all the trouble.

We'll live. I don't have a monopoly.
Given that the software is inexpensively available, and there's nothing resembling real talent needed to get a starter issue online, we're sure to see this spring up all over the place. We just happened to get first mover advantage and branded it. Quality comparisons would be subjective, of course.

Take a look at lots of other ComicLife creations here.

Dude, that was quick!
Man. The ANers communicate like a finely honed machine, apparently.

I do admit that I was "inspired" by the ANtics, and when I found that ComicLife came installed on the new MacBook I thought, "Well heck... I guess I could do this too".

I was just being a smartass to Zonis cause we hadn't had a Zonis comment in like, a year.

Garvey
will be making an appearance in El Cajon tomorrow at 2pm.  I think it was Bank of America or something like that.

I want #6 off the Petco wall!
My thoughts, and that of a few other Ducksnorters, about Garvey's # retirement can be found at http://ducksnorts.com/blog/2006/03/a-tale-of-three-padres.html#comments ...

If you unicorns can do anything to light this fire, count me IN!
