I'm so tired
Just got back to the Bay Area after a nice long weekend in SD.  Lazy Dex and Jbox call me last minute to make sure I post this thread.  Yeah guys, no problem.  While you're at the game tonight stuffing your faces with nachos and dogs, think of my tired arse.

you know
to be successful long-term this year, klesko and gilley are going to HAVE to get key hits off of lefties. damn it, ryno just K'd. sonn of a b(&*^%Y$ they had two on no out and blew it, so far. come on gilly, pick these guys up!

jeebus
popped up. bailed the brewers out. see his butt head towards the dugout? flying out of the box. son of a...if he's not careful some light-saber wielding maniac is gonna cut off his hand and almost join the darkside. maybe his kid. i dunno. but you gotta be careful poppin out.

why can't he even hit one on the ground to the second-worst defense in the NL? Why Phil Nevin, why? wep wep wep

I'm feeling lazy right now...
the Padres action with RISP tonight has lulled me to sleep.

by bktabinga on May 30, 2005 9:49 PM PDT up reply actions

totally understood.
if i wasn't so sunburned and unable to find a comfortable position to laze i'd be quiet too. DR did get me jumpin a lil tho

by garth on May 30, 2005 9:54 PM PDT up reply actions

Geoff Blum's missed bunt
I believe was the backbreaker for that inning.

That combined with Klesko's inability to hit lefties.

Oh throw in the usual uncluth Nevin performance who had the hanging slider to hit but missed it.

i made the same exact point
five minutes AFTER you did. sheesh.

whew
scotty is stronger than matt's stupid jinx. i can't believe he'd start yakkin about what great defense the guy's playing! i'd bet you could make a statistical case that the home announcer should keep his FLAN HOLE SHUT! Sheeeeeesh.

Linebrink has big brass ones.

I can't believe

lots and
lots of stranded runners. bad base running, too. hmm. blum not gettin the bunt down still has me steamin a little...that's what winners *do isn't it?

by garth on May 30, 2005 9:53 PM PDT up reply actions

i'll reserve
judgement on your bad luck til the game's over. if they pull some unlikely win outta their butts, maybe you're GOOD LUCK.

on a total aside
if the pads were to trade for a pitcher, who and who to trade?
thoughts? just to thread-jack a little.

man o man
these guys do have a helluva a bullpen...i have to admit, i'm surprised. they're playin well other than the crummy defense on a couple plays. plus, they don't have the Major League HairTM to compete.

by garth on May 30, 2005 9:57 PM PDT reply actions

good lord.
how do you take that? too damn close.

by garth on May 30, 2005 9:59 PM PDT reply actions

by garth on May 30, 2005 10:07 PM PDT reply actions

The Padres are truly having fun
That celebration shows just how much each guy pulls for each other, everybody knowing Ojeda has been struggling at the plate and to come through clutch!!! Wow, what a game, what a month.

No matter what happens from now til October
enjoy every game so far because there may never be a team as close knit, as clutch, and as determined as this team.
