Johnny Damon as a Yankee

I guess it's a big deal that Johnny Damon is a Yankee, and apparently part of it is the fact that he's going to have to shave his beard and get a haircut. I'd been avoiding mentioning it for fear that our readers would accuse us of East Coast bias. However, ESPN was so kind as to give us an image of what he'll look like as a Yankee and I had to comment.

It's comforting to know that ESPN has this technology at their disposal. Opening day, fans in New York would not have recognized their new centerfielder had not ESPN prepared them for the change.

Damon

I agree with Jim Caple, I don't think the Yankees are a good fit for Damon. That team looks like it has zero fun, Except when you see Jeter and ARod hugging. It's not about the hair because the Red Sox had horrible hair. Manny's was nasty, Varitek's was frosted, and everybody was a bunch of scrubs.

Now the 2005 Padres that was some hair. RIP Big League Pelo.

Red Sox vs. Padres hair

After your last post I'm frantically trying to grow my hair out.

Anyway, I gotta give the hair off to the Pads of last season. It was big it was crazy, it was spectacular and yet some how clean. The Red Sox were grimey, nappy, dirty and homeless person like.

I liked Damon when he had the full beard with the hair. The stubble and the long hair didn't work good.

I liked the variety on the Pads too. Some long and flowing, others high, tight and frosted. That was a good set of heads.
