Red Sox place P Aardsma on DL

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Boston Red Sox placed pitcher David Aardsma on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, retroactive to August 21, with a right groin strain.
The 26-year-old had been on the DL with the same injury from July 19-August 8.
On the season, he is 3-2 with a 4.19 earned run average in 42 appearances.
In a related move, the club recalled pitcher David Pauley from Triple-A Pawtucket. He was 14-4 with a 3.55 ERA in 25 starts with the PawSox and was tied for the International League lead in wins at the time of his promotion.
