Recap: Arizona vs. Florida

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Chris Young and Miguel Montero each had two hits, including a home run, and Yusmeiro Petit threw six solid innings, as Arizona toppled Florida, 7-1, in the second of three games with the Marlins.
Petit (3-3) allowed just one run on two hits, with no walks and six strikeouts, to pick up the win.
Stephen Drew and Adam Dunn each had two hits and a run driven in for the Diamondbacks, who rebounded from a loss in the series opener to win for the fourth time in five games.
Because Los Angeles lost earlier Saturday to Philadelphia, Arizona extended its lead in the NL West to three games.
Chris Volstad (4-3) absorbed the loss after giving up four runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 frames. He also walked two and struck out three, and lost for the first time since August 1 against Colorado.
Hanley Ramirez homered for the Marlins, who have lost three of four.
The Diamondbacks put a run on the scoreboard in the first. Drew and Young led off with consecutive singles, and two batters later Dunn singled to center to plate Drew.
Ramirez led off the fourth with his 28th homer of the season -- a blast to left -- but the Diamondbacks regained the lead in the fifth on Young's solo shot, also to left.
Arizona started to pull away in the sixth, as it tacked on two more runs. Chad Tracy began the frame with a single, and after Mark Reynolds grounded into a fielder's choice, a Montero double put runners in scoring position. Augie Ojeda was intentionally walked to load the bases, and Volstad exited the game for Mark Hendrickson.
The new Marlins pitcher got Tony Clark to ground into a fielder's choice to short, though Reynolds scored on the play. Drew followed with an RBI single for a 4-1 lead.
Against Renyel Pinto in the home eighth, the Diamondbacks effectively wrapped up the game. Montero led off with a homer, Ojeda doubled, and pinch-hitter Jeff Salazar plated a run with a single. Drew reached on a fielding error by Dan Uggla, while Salazar went to third on an Uggla throwing error.
Young brought in the Diamondbacks' final run with a sacrifice fly before Pinto at last got out of the inning.
Uggla has 11 errors this season...The Marlins had three hits. Aside from Ramirez's homer, Mike Jacobs and John Baker each had a base hit...Arizona left nine runners on base...Arizona pitchers did not issue a walk.
