Baltimore 3B Mora leaves game

St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - Baltimore Orioles third baseman Melvin Mora left Friday's 14-3 trouncing at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays in the third inning with a strained left hamstring. Mora suffered the injury attempting to beat out a grounder. The third baseman has been one of the hottest hitters as of late, raising his average from .248 at the beginning of August to .283. The 36-year-old has had 13 multi-hit games in the month, and for the season has 23 home runs and 97 RBI.
