Back to rooting for the Padres. I guarantee you Jake Peavy will try to win today's game so convincingly that the Commissioners Office will give us credit for a win yesterday, even though we lost. They'll say, "Jeez... Did you see what Peavy did? That seriously deserves two wins." If it weren't specifically forbidden by the rules of baseball and several chapters and verses in the Bible, I think Jake Peavy would have already hunted down and eaten most of the Dodgers to guarantee his win.
Next best thing, Jake! Just go for the next best thing!
