We've been eagerly anticipating Jabari Blash's first hit of the spring, and he delivered in a big way to start this afternoon's offensive explosion. In the top of the second, he hammered a solo shot into right field. Just look at this beauty.

Blash was the only Padre to put up a four-bagger, but three Friars legged out triples: Jemile Weeks, Jose Rondon, and Ryan Schimpf. Derek Norris and Nick Noonan joined the extra bases club with a pair of doubles.
On the mound, Andrew Cashner and Phillip Humber started the game with two scoreless innings each. Drew Pomeranz allowed the only earned run of the game in is 1.2 innings of work. Defensively, Derek Norris continued to shine by catching two would-be basestealers while Travis Jankowski and Hunter Renfroe each picked up an outfield assist.
And Jesse Agler has the spring training news you've all been dying to hear.
Italian wins the race today. Spring Training for the sausages, too.
