When I pre-ordered my copy of MLB The Show 14 for PS4 featuring Bobby Cressey, Amazon decided to throw in a free controller skin. The skin is made by a company called Skinit, and they have licensing for all of the MLB teams. The regular retail cost is $14.99, which is $12.99 more than I would normally ever pay for a decal. There were a few Padres options to choose from. Mostly blue and white designs. A couple camo designs that look nothing like the Padres camo. A pink design for some good old stereotyping of women. And then they had this brown design. My choice was pretty obvious.
I of course realize something like this will never end up matching the advertised pictures. I also of course realize that I have terrible artistic ability and have trouble with simple tasks like applying decals to a controller. Regardless, the end result is quite unimpressive. I'm very glad this was just a dumb free throw-in and I didn't lose any money over this ordeal.
