Gaslamp Balls to the Walls Tour!

A month from today I will be embarking on a week long Padre/son baseball trip along the California coast. The trip will originate in San Fransisco on Fathers Day and end in Anaheim about a week later. Every stadium will be visited with two games in my favorite city – San Diego. This has been a long time coming and should have been done long ago.

It's been over 23 years since I've been to San Diego and can not wait. A Navy reunion was supposed to happen this past April however that never transpired. Needless to say, I was really disappointed. At that moment when I learned that the reunion was not going to happen, I thought that I NEED to get back there one way or another and started planning. I called my retired pops and asked what he had planned for Fathers Day. This kind of surprised him and said he's up for anything. I knew that he wanted to see some parks so I asked him if he'd like to take a trip to California. He jumped at the chance but was unsure if we could get to all of the parks. I did a quick search and we were in luck. Starting on Fathers Day, every team was at home – in an order that was accommodating.

We've both been to Jack Murphy and Dodger stadiums so every other stadium will be a new experience. Actually outdoor baseball with be fresh as well. It's been at least 17 years since I've been to an outdoor game – not including spring training.

The itinerary is as follows. Fly from Tampa to San Fransisco on Saturday, June 14th. Rockies vs Giants on Fathers Day, Sunday the 15th. Rangers at A's the 16th. Fly from San Fransisco to L.A. the 17th and watch the Rockies and Dodgers. Drive to America's Finest City and see the Mariners play the Padres on the 18th. Same two teams on the 19th. Finishing up with the Rangers and Angels on the 20th and fly home from L.A. On the 21st. Gaslamp Balls to the Walls Tour! The only places that I plan on sight seeing is San Fran and San Diego. Even thought I've never been to San Fransisco, I really can't wait to get back to the city of San Diego. Is it still as clean as I remember it?

I don't think that they are doing any giveaways on the games I'm coming to. One other thing that I was hoping for was to get a couple of the giveaways that happen before (or on) my arrival. I'd be happy to (reasonably) pay for them since I don't have access to them.

Over the next few weeks, I will have some questions and may look for some guidance.

Some of the things that I'm going to look for to do is Midway tour, Pilot tour on the bay, LaJolla (Children's Pool?) Coronado and a micro brewery or two. So if anyone can think of things to do, please feel free to advise.

Thanks,

Leo
