This isn't a serious topic, but it's an important one (or at least to me it is). My school had a "jersey day" and everyone was supposed to wear jerseys that belong to their favorite teams. So, I put on my Cameron Maybin jersey I got on free jersey night a few years back. I expected to be one of the few wearing Padres blue in a sea of Chargers blue, but there was more then just Charger jerseys, and less then a few Padre ones.
Other then me there was only one other student wearing Padres gear, and it was an Adrian Gonzalez shirsey. This wasn't just because of hate of baseball (although that's also popular), it was hate of the Padres. There were more then a handful of Dodgers and Giants jerseys, and when I asked why they weren't Padres fans was always, "Padres suck, they always finish in last place." But seriously, have these kids EVER checked MLB standings...Padres had more wins then the Giants did last year, carrying last year's standings with me would be a good idea. Not all of the kids wearing other team jerseys were band wagoners, (of the three Red Sox jerseys, one was a girl who lived in Boston until recently) but the majority were.
Bandwagon fans are always expected in the biggest city to never win a major sports championship, but the over a dozen hockey sweaters, none of which were the Ducks or Kings jerseys, disappointed me. I like hockey, but we live in California, why are there more hockey sweaters then baseball jerseys, and more importantly why did I see more Blue Jackets sweaters then Padres jerseys.
Finally I'd like to call out the two annoying idiots who wore the Von Miller jerseys, go Chargers! Break the curse so the Padres can win too! Also, THE PADRES ARE UNDEFEATED IN 2014!!!!
