If you remember from Sunday's game against the Rockies, he dove for a hard hit ball deep to center and got up limping. He stayed in the game, but you could tell his knee was damaged.
If you missed the play, here is the video of the dive and the aftermath.
Earlier this season, he injured his wrist and that kept him off the team from April 15th until last Thursday. This will be his 2nd time on the DL this season. His first stint lasted about 6 weeks and this one will last the same amount of time, if not more.
Hopefully Cameron Maybin will return with the same speed that allowed him to make great plays on defense and got him 4 SBs in the first 3 games at Coors Field last series, but only time will tell.
We have yet to find out who will come up with Maybin going on the DL. Nick Vincent came up from Tucson and Burch Smith was sent back down today, so the move forced by Maybin's injury will be interesting to see.
