I was pretty sure we were going to win last night. Early on, after the team came back and took the lead, there was a solid 7 or 8 minutes where I thought, Oh cool. We might win again. And then the Brewers did what they did and the Padres lost. And then there were flashes of competitiveness where I thought, Oh that looks like a pretty good opportunity. And then the Padres did a Padres thing and we still lost.
I got nostalgic early and maybe that helped my mood.
Remember 10 minutes ago when we were winning? Those were the days. #Padres— Gaslamp Ball (@gaslampball) April 24, 2013
In the end, it did what it did and the Padres continue to lose and maybe this is rock bottom, but I gave the previous game a 1 and the bit of nostalgia helped that up to a 2. Like, I know the cat just pooped, but 10 minutes have passed and either the litter is working or I'm getting used to it, but the smell isn't quite as offensive as it was 11 minutes ago.
It's interesting what you can get used to.
