Tyson Ross and Felix Hernandez face off as interleague rivals meet again.
Once again our Padres will face the hated Mariners in a battle of the interleague rivals at Peoria Sports Complex. Everyone's new favorite pitcher, Tyson Ross, will toe the rubber for six innings. Ross has been on a hot streak lately, having gone 11 1/3 innings allowing no runs while giving up just six hits and collecting ten strikeouts. He is making the most of his Cactus League experience this Spring and keeping himself in contention for that coveted fifth rotation spot. Hopefully Ross can take a cue from his Cal Bears and continue his March Madness by getting the victory.
Seattle will counter with Felix Hernandez, who will be looking for his first win in his third Spring start. If this commercial is accurate, "King" Felix will probably not even think twice about cheating to get that win, so hopefully our Padres are prepared with bread and milk in the dugout (to counteract hot-sauce-laden food) and will be watching to make sure Hernandez doesn't use any illegal substances on the ball.
Game time is set for 7:05pm and you can catch the action either on Fox Sports SD or on The Mighty 1090. Feels just like real baseball season!
GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
