I love FanFest, but I was quietly hoping that it would once again become a two day affair. Last year was sooo crowded. In years past FanFest used to stretch over the entire weekend and it helped to ease congestion. If I remember correctly there used to be a small entrance fee back then, but that's not the case this year, thanks to State Farm.

Padres announce dates for 2013 Fanfest & annual awards dinner

The San Diego Padres today announced Padres FanFest presented by State Farm will return to Petco Park on Saturday, February 9, 2013. The daylong event is free and open to the public. Details surrounding Padres FanFest presented by State Farm will be released prior to the event.

I can't wait to see the details. I want activities galore! I want to pitch in the bullpen, catch pop flies, run the bases, meet players, roll on the grass, buy garage sale items, compete in a friendly game of grab ass, dance like no one is watching and love like I've never been hurt.

I'm going to try and convince Dex to come up with some more FanFest Bingo Cards.
