We learned today that a little angel by the name of Pad Squad Erin is currently having major brain surgery. Please keep her in your prayers.
Many of you know Erin from her Pad Squadding duties at Padres games and can attest to the fact that she's one of the friendliest, funniest and most down to earth people you'll ever meet. "Hugs not drugs" is her catch phrase.
You wouldn't know it but apparently twenty years ago Erin was stricken with health issues and was a Make-A-Wish kid. You can read about her story here.
Today she's selflessly trying to make wishes come true for other children in need. In effort to give her some support through her recovery from surgery, please consider a donation to her Kicking Asphalt for Wishes campaign like two ruggedly handsome and generous anonymous donors just did.
If I understand her story correctly she's going to run the SD Half Marathon again this year to motivate donors to give to Make-A-Wish. Let's kick start her campaign while she's under anesthesia. She'll be so confused when she wakes up, it'll be great!
Get well soon, little one.
