With Spring Training a month and a half away and panic setting in, the idea of accepting the fact that the Padres won't be making any further moves brings some calmness to this old fan.
There's a decent chance the #Padres won't add another starting pitcher before ST. mlb.com/r/article?ymd=…

Corey sees it like this, the Padres have plenty of Starting Pitching options to start the season. They've got these 8, the OMG! Ocho.
- Clayton Richard
- Edinson Volquez
- Anthony Bass
- Jason Marquis
- Tyson Ross
- Eric Stults
- Casey Kelly
- Robbie Erlin
As long as half of them can survive Spring and stay healthy the Padres can get through the first month of the season. The only problem I can foresee is that if some of these guys turn out to suck right out of the gate, coinciding with arguably the toughest months of the team's schedule. It could get ugly in a hurry.
But if all goes well, the Padres can reload mid-season sometime when these three capable pitchers return from their season ending injuries of yesteryear.
- Cory Luebke
- Joe Wieland
- Andrew Cashner
Sounds like a full proof plan. What could go wrong?
