Tucson Padres to El Paso in 2014 - Ballpark and sale approved
Earlier this week the El Paso, TX city council approved building a $50 million ballpark in that city's downtown. The park would be built on the site currently occupied by El Paso city hall. However the stadium and the pending sale of the Tucson Padres to El Paso based MountainStar Sports was all dependent on whether or not El Paso's mayor would veto the proposed deal. He announced he would not, which means the sale and move of the T-Pads to El Paso is free to go forward. Great day for the citizens of El Paso and for the Pads AAA affiliate.
